Certas Energy shortlisted for Green Fleet award

Certas Energy has announced that the company have been shortlisted for the GreenFleet Industry Innovation Award for work completed in pioneering the use of Shell GTL Fuel in the UK.

The industry innovation award recognises companies who have introduced a new technology, practise or method that reduces fuel consumption, emissions and demonstrated innovation in its design or implementation.

Certas Energy, have since its release, sold millions of litres of GTL Fuel in the UK to businesses including local councils, constructions companies, transport companies, schools and golf clubs. The company has a nationwide delivery network to supply GTL Fuel across the UK and last week announced that the fuel is now available at the companies Horsham depot in Sussex.

The Head Greenkeeper at Sittingbourne and Milton Regis Golf Club said, “GTL is working extremely well for us, we will continue to use it.  We have found starting our vehicles up happens first time now where it used to take longer.”

John Page Trailer Ltd added, ‘GTL doesn’t froth up as much as standard Gas Oil, we have found we don’t have to wait for it to settle.”

The winners of the annual GreenFleet Awards will be announced at a ceremony on 23rd November at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry.
