OFTEC Is Recruiting

OFTEC energy savings drive supported by SEAI

OFTEC is recruiting for a number of positions within the business, in 2018. The varied roles, based in their Kesgrave offices, include technical Supervisor, Compliance Manager and Marketing & Communications Officer.

Technical Supervisor or Manager (DOE)

Full-time 37½ hours p/w – Salary £28,000 – £32,000 DOE. The role is based in our Kesgrave office.

OFTEC’s technical supervisor / manager oversees the support we provide to the liquid fuel heating industry and OFTEC’s registered technicians. You’ll lead the day to day work of the department, so good organisational skills will be just as important as an in depth knowledge of domestic oil heating. Hands-on experience would be an advantage.

Compliance Manager

Full-time 37½ hours p/w – Salary £28,000 – £32,000 DOE. The role is based in our Kesgrave office.

As our compliance manager you’ll provide support to consumers when problems arise with work carried out by heating businesses registered with our competent person scheme. You’ll also investigate complaints about the misuse of OFTEC branding and ensure that the high standards of workmanship required by our registration scheme are upheld. A knowledge of the oil heating sector and excellent communications skills are among the requirements of the role.

Marketing and Communications Officer

Full-time 37½ hours p/w – Salary £22,000 – £28,000 DOE. The role is based in our Kesgrave office.

The ability to curate and develop our online and social media platforms is a key requirement of this new role. But as part of our small in-house team you’ll also undertake a wide range of marketing and communications tasks, so a focussed and flexible approach is a must. If you like variety, this could be the role for you.

Contracted Regional Inspector in Wales

As part of our Inspection Team, you’ll work closely with registered businesses and their technicians. Visits will include auditing business procedures and checking individual technical competence. You will also investigate complaints and could represent OFTEC at trade events and meetings with other industry bodies. Knowledge of oil industry legislation is essential and previous auditing or assessing experience would be desirable. Computer literacy and exceptional customer skills are required.

How to apply

For an informal discussion about any of these roles, or to request an application form and job description, please email Andrew Peirson (Office and HR Manager) or phone 01473 618 552.

Closing date is 5th January 2018.
