Flame Heating Spares Launches App To Support Installers

Flame Heating Spares, the North East of England’s fastest growing Heating & Plumbing merchant, is to support the region’s installers with the launch of its ground-breaking app.

Flame, which operates seven branches throughout the North East, is now offering its trade customers the app free of charge, which is able to support heating engineers with an end-to-end service that performs a diagnostic on any boiler and identifies the parts required for installations and maintenance work.

The app is connected to PartsArena’s parts identification software, which is integrated into the Flame website. It has the capabilities to allow installers to order parts and check current stock levels at each of Flame’s branches, provide access to customers’ individual account information and the ability to download documentation, including proof of deliveries, at the touch of a button.

0800 Repair Gas, which is also based in the North East of England, in Houghton le Spring, tested the app during its development stage after Flame secured a deal with Phil Pallister, 0800 Repair Gas’ Managing Director, so that the company’s engineers used it while carrying out routine jobs.

The app was also shortlisted in the Collaboration of the Year category at the H&V News Awards, which is one of the heating and plumbing industry’s most prestigious events.

Flame Heating Spares is on track to more than double turnover, building on its £6.4m revenues in 2016, buoyed by the recent launch of its Newcastle branch. It currently operates trade counters in Ashington, Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle, South Shields, Stockton and Sunderland, with plans in place to expand into Scotland.
