Balmoral Tanks has strengthened its international sales team with the appointment of Alexander Harvey into the role of regional sales director for the Far East & Australasia. Alex comes to Balmoral with 10 years’ experience in bolted sectional tanks and has spent a significant amount of his career in that region as well as working throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East. With a high level of technical knowledge in renewable energy and wastewater treatment, Mr Harvey also offers considerable experience in distribution chain establishment and management. Company export sales director, Simon Scott, said: “We are confident that Alex will be a great asset to Balmoral’s international team and our global customers will undoubtedly benefit from his industry and market-specific knowledge. We look forward to fast-forwarding the growth curve with Alex on board.” Mr Harvey said: “This was an opportunity that I couldn’t resist. With that kind of support it’s my ambition to take the company to new and exciting places in the very near future.” This latest commitment complements the company’s construction of a 60,000sqft fusion bonded epoxy tank manufacturing facility in Thurnscoe, South Yorkshire. Due to open its doors in Q4 2017 the new plant will offer a state-of-the-art epoxy coating line, in-line shot blasting as well as the latest laser cutting and fabrication technologies.
