FPS Expo A Resounding Success Say FPS
Oil distribution industry exhibition, FPS EXPO 2015, which took place at the Harrogate International Conference Centre, was a resounding success for visitors and exhibitors alike. Now in its 35th year the show, which was launched in 1980, attracted over 110 exhibitors and enjoyed an increase in visitor numbers by 20% over the two days the event was hosted compared to 2014.
The UK’s only comprehensive event for the oil distribution industry, FPS EXPO is a key event for all industry professionals interested in state-of-the art products and solutions, including storage tank manufacturers and accessories, tanker and commercial vehicle manufacturers, computer technology and support services including HMRC.
Pre-registration figures increased by 50% compared to 2014 and the exhibition itself grew in size with the addition of an extra hall to the previous year’s EXPO in April 2014. Over 1,600 movers and shakers and key decision makers from the oil distribution industry world attended over the two days, including 12% of delegates from European countries and 3% from non-European countries as far afield as Australia
Many exhibitors gave positive feedback.

Our stand was buzzing with visitors from early until late each day. The show provides an excellent networking opportunity for us to meet face to face with existing and potential wholesale customers.

Dawn Shakespeare, Marketing & Events Manager for the FPS (Federation of Petroleum Suppliers), and organiser of the FPS EXPO 2015, said, “This year’s event was our last year at Harrogate and it was an even bigger success than last year’s show with over 7000 sq. metres of exhibition space covered and for the first time we expanded into Hall A.
“We are looking forward to the 2016 show, which we expect will attract even more visitors as we are going to the new exhibition facility in Liverpool – Liverpool Exhibition Centre – which is due to be complete in September 2015. The real measure of FPS EXPO’s success this year was the extraordinary high number of exhibitors who re-booked for next year’s event while still at the show! There is already considerable pressure on available space as so many exhibitors want bigger stands and new exhibitors are waiting to come in. I think going to a new exhibition centre and a new city has created a buzz about FPS EXPO 2016.”
