Carbery Receives Kiwa Approval; Appoints Signatanks As Dutch Distributor
Storage tank specialist Carbery Plastics Limited, is enjoying a double celebration after the Irish manufacturer secured Kiwa certification and confirmed the appointment of a Dutch distributor for its range of fuel storage products.
Kiwa certification is a prerequisite to be able to compete effectively in the Dutch fuel tank market. It comprises an extensive audit of the company’s manufacturing operations and quality systems, together with a series of demanding product tests.
Carbery’s Operations Manager Callaghan McCarthy says, “Kiwa certification is arguably the most demanding of all European tank certification standards. Indeed, we are currently just one of 3 Irish and British plastic tank manufacturers to have secured Kiwa certification in accordance with BRL-K21002/03. To secure certification at our first attempt makes the achievement all the more remarkable. It is a powerful testimony to world-class manufacturing facilities, a highly skilled, flexible workforce and state of the art, in-house product development facilities.”
Following on from its receipt of Kiwa certification, Carbery has also recently confirmed the appointment of specialist fuel oil equipment supplier Signatanks, as its distribution partner for the Dutch market. Centrally located in Weert, near the Dutch / Belgian border, Signatanks distributes products from other leading British, Irish and European manufacturers including Dunraven Systems Apollo, Emiliana Serbatoi, FMT Swiss AG, Pronal and SpinSecure to customers throughout Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg.
Signatanks’ Managing Director Jan Pleunis, who has many years’ experience of the storage tank industry says, “We’re delighted to have been appointed to represent Carbery. I’m confident that Carbery’s range of fuel oil tanks will quickly become an established favourite with technicians. With a manufacturing heritage stretching back almost 40 years and an unrivaled emphasis upon quality, Carbery is a welcome addition to the local market. When combined with local sales, distribution and customer support from Signatanks, installers now have access to a best in class product and service solution.”
Carbery’s Jill Turner adds, “Our partnership with Signatanks further strengthens Carbery’s position in the European market. This builds upon our established market position in Ireland and Great Britain and growing sales elsewhere in mainland Europe. Kiwa certification, together with EN13341 compliance and Carbery’s participation in the OFCERT licensing scheme, demonstrates our commitment to the manufacture and supply of premium quality products to customers across Europe.”
