Grant & Bath Rugby Portrait

Heating specialist Grant UK has announced a new partnership agreement with one of the top rugby clubs in the UK. Holding an international reputation as one of the best within the sport, Bath Rugby is the ideal club for Grant UK to unite with during the 2015/16 season, not least because it is also the company’s local club.

Grant is thoroughly looking forward to working with a club that is synonymous with first class sport, professionalism and determination to succeed. This partnership will provide Grant with the opportunity to increase the profile of their renowned range of reliable, efficient heating products. Perimeter board advertising will be erected at the Team’s home ground The Rec, where matches are regularly televised, increasing local and national brand awareness and potentially driving new business to Grant stockists and installers.

With 16 confirmed home fixtures and a crowd capacity of 12,200 at The Rec, Bath is set to be the home of local rugby once again this season. Furthermore, with England hosting the Rugby World Cup, support for the game is undoubtedly going to soar over the coming months making it the perfect time for Grant to come on board. Great sports fixtures not only bring together local communities but they also unite nations. Even people who do not normally follow a team suddenly transform into experts within that sport when a national or international tournament commences.

The 2015/16 season is a momentous one for Bath Rugby as the club is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year. This occasion neatly precedes a significant landmark for Grant UK who will be celebrating a 20th birthday in 2016. These anniversaries demonstrate the longstanding presence of both organisations’ within their relevant fields.

Since establishing in 1865, Bath Rugby has been known as one of the most prestigious clubs worldwide and, throughout their history, they have topped European and national tournaments. Meanwhile, Grant has been providing affordable, quality products to the heating market for nearly four decades starting with Grant Engineering of Ireland, and expanding with Grant UK in 1995. From award winning oil and biomass boilers through to innovative solar thermal systems and air source heat pumps, the business has established a reputation for excellence within the heating industry.

Grant products are well known to builder’s merchants and plumbers who create the primary channel through which Grant delivers products to homeowners across Great Britain. The company’s HQ is based in Devizes, Wiltshire, which is only a short drive from the Bath and with a ‘very’ favourable wind, the likes of George Ford could well kick a ball through the posts at the Rec from the company’s HQ.

While the televised coverage of Bath’s games this season will further increase the national awareness of the brand, Grant UK also wants to reach the local off-gas communities and inform them of the alternative sources of heating that could make their homes more sustainable and reduce annual fuel bills. Being based so locally to the Rec, Grant UK’s employees and customers no doubt make up a proportion of the fans that loyally support Bath Rugby weekend after weekend. This was one of the reasons why the club was an obvious choice with whom Grant UK could join allegiances.

Anna Wakefield, Marketing Manager for Grant UK says, “We are honoured to have been given the opportunity to support a club whose reputation is held so highly both locally and further afield. The strong teamwork amongst the players, which is so clear to see when they step onto the field, is just one of the club’s characteristics which Grant values. Bath Rugby’s professionalism, success, and undeniable resolve to be the best in their game are additional values which we as a Company share.”
